DESCRIPTION:Guest conductor Bryan Poyzer will lead the Minnesota State Community and Technical College Chamber Chorale in its spring Showcase at 2 p.m. Sunday\, April 17\, in Legacy Hall on the Fergus Falls campus.\n\n\n\nThe Chamber Chorale will present a variety of literature featuring pieces accompanied by Sylvia Nygaard on piano\, Tom Rasmusson on percussion and Laurie Strom's string ensemble. The concert also will feature several smaller vocal ensembles performing styles ranging from vocal jazz to folk music.\n\n\n\nPoyzer\, of Elbow Lake\, is director of choral activities at North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton.\n\n"I am excited for the public to hear the Chorale but also to hear some of the wonderful ensembles that exist within the group\," Poyzer said. "This concert is truly a showcase of their talent!"\n\n\n\nThe Chamber Chorale is comprised of 60 M State singers from area communities including Fergus Falls\, Battle Lake\, Pelican Rapids\, Henning\, Moorhead and Fargo.\n\n\n\nTickets are $9 in advance and $11 at the door for adults\, and $7 in advance and $8 at the door for students. Tickets can be purchased at the M State box office from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and one hour prior to the performance\, by calling 218.736.1600 or online at mstatetickets.com.
