DESCRIPTION:Tis the season for music and celebration as Christmas draws near. The Federated Church is performing "Go Sing It on the Mountain" on Saturday\, December 3rd at 4:00 p.m. The cantata features the Federated Church choir\, a community orchestra and organist Carol Andstrom. "Go Sing It on the Mountain" is written by Pepper Choplin. Choplin's distinctive folk-infused musical style is particularly well-suited to capture the story of Christ\, born in a lowly manger for our salvation. The performance concludes with the singing of Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus" and those in the audience will be invited to join the choir.\n\n\n\nListeners will be treated to a highly-inventive mixture of mountain melodies\, folk hymns\, spirituals\, familiar carols\, and original music that is sure to surprise and delight.
