DESCRIPTION:The CLBA biennial convention is happening in 2016 and our denominational leadership continues to make it possible to bring in some great outside resources. I want to encourage you to attend the convention as a delegate from your church. \n\n\n\nWe are bringing Back Dr. Chap Clark who will be built on what he shared in 2014 with a ton of new resources and insights. In addition\, we are working on several other ways to utilize his time with us. \n\n\n\nAbout his seminar: Adoptive Youth Ministry: Reaching Emerging Generations in an Atomized World" (Pt 1 and 2)\n\n\n\nIntense attention has been devoted to the realization that many if not most of our students are leaving active faith when they graduate from high school\, even those who were deeply involved and invested in the youth ministry. In addition to that\, we know that even our "best" kids often have a shallow understanding of their faith\, and the culture all of our students are swimming in has become increasingly secular. \n\n\n\nOur response to these issues\, and with the culture pressing us into more and more structural fragmentation and atomization\, our tendency is continue to treat students\, and their faith journey\, as individuals.
