DESCRIPTION:Fergus Falls Veterans Memorial Park Ground Breaking Event \n\nMonday April 25th @ 2:00pm\n\n\n\nCome as an opportunity to Show Your Support for Veterans! \n\nAn effort that started in December to commemorate U.S. military veterans of Otter Tail County is kicking into high gear this month and into the summer. \n\nAn approximately 1\,018 square foot monument honoring U.S. military veterans made up of six granite plinths and about 1\,145 pavers is being developed this year to be placed at the Veterans Memorial Park in Fergus Falls. A 9-foot plinth with a carved-in American flag and copy of the Pledge of Allegiance will be in the middle and one plinth for each branch of the military will be on the perimeter of the monument. These perimeter plinths will contain the names of all military men and women from Otter Tail County who were classified as killed in action\, missing in action\, or prisoner of war in theater for any war or conflict.   \n\nThe Fergus Falls Veterans Memorial committee is working with area public record holders retrieve this information.
