DESCRIPTION:Hinge Arts Meet & Greet: Susan Lenz hosted by Springboard for the Arts - Lake Region \n\nWe have a new artist arriving with us next week! Susan Lenz!\n\nPlease come and join us at Mabel Murphy's on Tuesday May 17\, 4PM-5PM to welcome Susan to Hinge Arts this will be her first time to Fergus Falls! Let's give her a warm Welcome!\n\n\n\nSusan is a visual artist using found objects for self-expression\, Columbia\, SC artist Susan Lenz works in partnership with her materials\, their purposes\, values and familiar associations. Susan generally uses a needle and thread to articulate the accumulated memory inherent in these discarded things. She stitches both by hand and machine as means to communicate themes of memory and mortality. While at Hinge Arts\, Susan will be creating artist books using anonymous photos\, snippets of handwritten letters\, old postage stamps\, and ephemera salvaged from yard sales and auctions.
