DESCRIPTION:Jazz lovers\, take note! Come and enjoy some of the area's best at the Jazz Band Dinner & Dance at the Fergus Falls VFW on Saturday\, Feb. 20.\n\n\n\nThe social and dinner hour start at 6 p.m. with the musical accompaniment of the Lakes Area All Stars\, featuring local band directors and musicians.\n\n\n\nThe dance is from 7 to 10 p.m.\, with music provided by the M State Jazz Band and the M State Jazz Combo under the direction of Dan Carlson\, and Lakes Area All Stars\, directed by Jim Iverson.\n\n\n\nCome to dance\, or come to listen. The evening will feature instrumental soloists and M State student guest vocalists Ashley Forsman of Murdock and Jacob Seeman of St. Cloud. There will be a variety of styles of music including swing\, ballad\, waltz\, polka and upbeat rock and roll.\n\n\n\nTickets for the dinner and dance are $20\, and dance-only tickets are $8. The menu features a choice of roast beef or chicken breast and accompaniments.\n\n\n\nDinner tickets must be purchased by Wednesday\, Feb. 10. Dance-only tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. Get your ticket by calling M State at 218.736.1600 or visiting the box office on the M State campus.
