DESCRIPTION:Rene Meyer-Grimberg will be our new artist resident for Creative Placemaking for Hinge Arts. Meyer-Grimberg will be in resdient with us from October 24 - December 17\, 2016. Please help us welcome Rene Meyer-Grimberg to our community in joining us in a meet and greet at Springbord for the Arts office located at\, 201 W. Lincoln Ave. on October 25\, from 4:30 - 5:30PM. There will be appetizers from The Spot and beverages provided. This is free and open to the public!\n\n\n\nAfter studying art history\, languages and theater\, and working a variety of jobs in the US and abroad\, Rene Meyer-Grimberg now creates participatory immersive/interactive performance (PIP) pieces. She has been creating PIP art popup pieces since early 2016 and other interactive installations since 2008. These installations in unusual spaces involve the participants in an interactive\, participatory experience which allows them to choose if they participate\, watch or facilitate the performance. PIP art popups have taken place in a mansion\, squash courts\, and a converted factory. Her keen interest in history and personal stories comes inform her desire to collect stories from the community which can be included in the final PIP art experience. #pipartpopup.
