DESCRIPTION:LRH Implementing Patient & Family Advisory Council\n\nPublic Invited to Kick Off Speaker Lisa Juliar on the topic of Patient & Family Engagement\n\n \n\n(FERGUS FALLS\, MN)  Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) Community members are invited to an informative presentation about the importance of being involved in your healthcare experience and a new initiative designed to foster more patient involvement to improve the health care process. \n\n \n\nLisa Juliar will be the featured speaker this kick-off event to learn about new ways to become involved in the health care experience for yourself and your family as LRH prepares to develop a Patient & Family Advisory Council. Juliar currently partners with the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) as a Patient and Family Engagement (PFE) Consultant\, and is co-chair of the MHA Patient and Family Advisory Committee (PFAC)\, and for the past 4 years has served as the first consumer on the Minnesota Alliance for Patient Safety Board. \n\n \n\nUsing the MHA "Include Always" Patient Family Engagement (PFE) Model\, Lisa has inspired and educated hospitals & clinics on how to engage PFACs as the foundation for patient-centered care throughout the health system. After experiencing a negative healthcare event\, Lisa became passionate about sharing her story for positive results. Lisa's journey has been fueled by thinking "out of the box" in order to generate creative models of sustainable change for safer care and meaningful partnerships with patients.\n\n \n\nTwo sessions of her presentation will be offered at Lake Region Healthcare's Hospital Lower Level Conference Room at 712 S Cascade St. in Fergus Falls. The first session is Tuesday\, March 29th from 7 to 8pm. The second session will be held on Wednesday\, March 30th from Noon to 1pm.  \n\n \n\nBoth sessions are free and open to the public.
