Kaddatz Adult Art Class: Mixed Media Monoprinting Instructor: Michael Weatherly Dates: Saturday, July 11 & Sunday, July 12, 2026 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm Sliding scale registration fee: $80-$120 per student Join local printmaker Michael Weatherly for a 2-day exploration of mixed media monoprinting. Fresh from an intensive 18-day printmaking workshop in Florence, Italy, Michael is excited to share new techniques and creative approaches with students. Monoprinting is a versatile and accessible printmaking process in which ink is rolled, painted, or drawn onto a plate to create one-of-a-kind prints. This class will explore monotype, collage, and chine collé techniques using Akua non-toxic, water-based inks. Adult participants (ages 17+) of all experience levels will learn how to mix, layer, and manipulate inks while incorporating drawing, collage, and multi-plate printing methods to create rich, expressive imagery. The workshop encourages experimentation and creative exploration, opening the door to new possibilities in printmaking. All materials are provided.
