Keynote speaker Barbara Campagna
More about the Keynote: BARBARA CAMPAGNA FAIA, LEED AP, will deliver the keynote presentation on sustainable preservation. Campagna, who has her own private practice, BAC/Architecture + Planning, has worked for the past 25 years as an architect, planner and historian reinventing and restoring historic buildings. Her work has demonstrated that new technologies can be introduced both artistically and sensitively to preserve historic resources, while ensuring that the work meets the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. She has led the effort to save the nationally significant Kirkbride-plan hospital complex in Buffalo, New York. Barbara has been the Executive Director of a landmarks organization in Buffalo, ran her own architecture firm in New York City, served as the Regional Historic Preservation Officer for the Northwest Region of the General Services Administration, and was Chief Architect for the 29 historic sites operated by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
