Ceramics - Raku Firing
Class #4009-F17
Instructor: Peder Butenhoff
When most potters in the West think of Raku Firing, they think of a process in which work is removed from the kiln at bright red heat and subjected to post-firing reduction (or smoking) by being placed in containers of combustible materials. Students will need to pick out a ceramic piece previously crafted and bring it to this class to learn how to do Raku Firing.
