Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) Grant Awarded
This October, the Foundation for Rural Service awarded a $5,000 grant to the Ashby School Agricultural Education Department. As the sponsor of this application, Park Region contributed 20% of the total grant amount, the funds of which will go toward aiding the school’s greenhouse project. The Ashby FFA will use the FRS grant to construct a 25’x50’ greenhouse on the Ashby Public School campus to provide a year-round supply of nutrient dense fresh produce to the local food shelves and the Ashby school lunch
