Coffee Klatch Series
OTC Historical Society will be hosting a 6 week Coffee Klatch series beginning on Fri., Feb. 17th.
Ginger Newborg Asleson and Jeanne Cannady will speak about their experiences as nurses at the State Hospital. Cannady started her employment as a Registered Nurse in the Minnesota State Hospital system in Rochester in 1954. She retired from that system in Fergus Falls in 2003. Her areas of work included medical/surgical, nursing education, total hospital supervision, staff development, infection control and chemical dependency.
Ginger Asleson worked for 29 years at the State Hospital. She held a variety of positions including human services, LPN/RN clinical lead, infection control officer, and worked with the developmentally disabled, chemically dependent and mentally ill populations.
Their experiences will provide an inside look into the work of dedicated nurses at the State Hospital.
The Coffee Klatch series takes place each Friday, admission is free, light refreshments will be served.
