Energy Presentation
Presentation Summary
Steve will explain Partners for Affordable Energy’s current initiatives to sustain low-cost, reliable electricity, and he will address the energy challenges in need of more attention in Minnesota. He will give an appropriate perspective to the importance that cost-effective energy plays in Minnesotans’ quality of life and how focused energy goals can help us meet our environmental expectations.
Partners for Affordable Energy advocates for collaborative efforts from all sectors of our economy to increase energy efficiency, reduce impacts on natural resources, and achieve cost-effective solutions to our energy challenges.
Steve’s presentation will overview alternative, low-impact approaches and solutions to our energy goals that meet our environmental protection expectations and sustain economic viability. These approaches and solutions include realistic, but accelerated, investments in a diverse energy portfolio of clean baseload and renewable technologies while maintaining the affordability and reliability of our electricity supply.
Steve is based out of Bismarck, North Dakota and, as part of his duties, works to keep key stakeholders engaged in the discussion about Minnesota’s energy supply. He has worked in the North Dakota energy industry for more than 20 years and is also involved with the Edison Electric Institute and the National Mining Association.
