FFHS Spring Play "Leading Ladies"
Fergus Falls, MN, May 1, 2018 - The Fergus Falls High School theater department presents its spring production “Leading Ladies” just in time for Mother’s Day weekend. Opening May 11 at A Center for the Arts the story features two English Shakespearean actors, played by seniors Tyler Hauge and Thomas Bowman. “Jack” and “Leo” find themselves so down on their luck that they are performing "Scenes from Shakespeare" on the Moose Lodge circuit in the Amish country of Pennsylvania. When they hear that an old lady in York, PA is about to die and leave her fortune to her two long lost English nephews, they resolve to pass themselves off as her beloved relatives and get the cash. The trouble is, when they get to York, they find out that the relatives aren't nephews, but nieces! Being the great actors they are, they become “Maxine and Stephanie” and go for the prize. Romantic entanglements abound, especially when Leo falls head-over-petticoat in love with the old lady's vivacious niece, Meg, played by Isabella Nehk. “Leading Ladies” is directed by Allee Nickolauson and runs May 11 and 12th at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 13th at 2 p.m. Tickets are $4 student and $7 adult and available at the door. All performances are at A Center for the Arts.
