Has it been a while since you’ve last ridden your bike? Do you want to start riding again but don’t know where to start? Maybe you’re new to biking and need some help getting started. If so, this is the event for you! This event will be a basic, beginner level introduction to riding bikes, geared towards older teens and adults. If you’re looking for a similar opportunity for younger kids, we recommend having them attend the annual bike rodeo at the YMCA. During this event we will cover basic riding techniques and bike safety, and will take participants on a short ride - whether just down the bike trail, around the block, or maybe a little farther. You will need to bring your own bike to this event. If you’re not sure if your bike is in good riding condition, bring it over and we’ll take a look. We will be able to provide some basic maintenance and possibly some minor repairs, but anything beyond that may require a visit to the bike shop. This event will be led by a certified League Cycling Instructor (LCI). Pedal Fergus Falls recommends the use of helmets for all our rides.
