International Museum Days
The OTC Museum presents International Museum Days 2012-The State Hospital in History on Wed.-Turs., May 16th-17th. Sessions available from 9:30-11:30am or noon-2pm.
Activities include:
Lawn Games & Field Days- Your students will take part in a spring festival reminiscent of those held at the State Hospital in Fergus Falls They will play games such as Sack Race, Egg Toss and the ever popular Water Race
What was it like to live & work at the State Hospital?
The FF State Hospital was specially designed to help people who had mental illness. Find out more when you listen to real stories of people who lived and worked at the hospital.
The Heart of the Hospital: The Nurses-Women & men trained in the nursing program at the State Hospital. Learn a little bit about some of the caring people who served patients at the hospital. Then make at "Bellevue Fluff" nurse's cap or a training pin to take home.
Preserving a Historic Hospital-What is Historic Preservation? Who serves on the Heritage Preservation Commission?
