Minnesota's Severe & Unusual Weather (pre-register)
Class #6700-F21
Instructor: Tom Nelson, retired Meteorologist
What is severe weather and how does it affect Minnesota? We will focus on what severe weather is, what we have seen in Minnesota, and how severe weather affects communities. We'll take a look at the usual phenomena - tornadoes, flash foods, hail, and wind. But Minnesota has been home to some other strange events like extreme cold and prolonged heat. We will cover forecasting weather using tools and information freely available on the internet.
