Understanding Children with Trauma Training
The Fergus Falls Early Childhood Initiative will be hosting training (worth 3.5 clock hours) on Tuesday, December 4, with Deena McMahon (via dvd). Interesting and engaging, Deena is a social worker with extensive experience working with youth of all ages who have experienced trauma during their lives. She will provide insight into understanding trauma and effective strategies for working with hurting children. This workshop is for all who work with children- teachers, social workers, childcare providers, faith community members, and others. We will begin promptly at 3:30pm. The dvd is 2 hrs. and 55 minutes and we will allow approximately 30 minutes for discussion. Please RSVP to Jane @ (218) 731-4163 or patrick@prtel.com. This session is FREE and open to the public. Certificates of attendance for clock hours will be provided.
