Medical Receptionist/ Patient Care Coordinator
**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Receptionist, Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy Inc. in providing exceptional care to our patients. As the first point of contact for our clinic, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This is a full-time position, and the salary range offered is $17 to $20 per hour.
**Responsibilities:**
- Greet patients upon arrival, check them in, and provide necessary paperwork for completion
- Schedule and manage patient appointments, ensuring optimal utilization of clinic resources
- Verify insurance information and assist patients with billing inquiries
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in our electronic medical records system
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal patient care
- Assist with various administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Light cleaning duties to ensure a clean and organized reception area
- Assist therapists with tasks as needed, such as setting up equipment or preparing treatment rooms
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and guidelines to safeguard patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with team members to continuously improve clinic operations and patient experience
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems and other office software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes is a plus
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations
