Registered Nurse
Responsibilities of a Home Care RN include:
- Overseeing and carrying out a variety of nursing responsibilities involved with maintaining a comprehensive home care license
- Initiate and manage medication administration and/or nursing delegated comprehensive services to clients
- Travel to clients’ homes and provide them with home healthcare services
- Assist the client care team to maintain a current plan of care for clients receiving delegated comprehensive services
- Provide oversight, up to and including the instruction of initial and ongoing in-office and field training for caregivers
- Conduct regularly scheduled quality assurance home visits with new clients at minimum every 60 days for clients receiving medication administration or delegated comprehensive services
- Conduct Nursing Supervisory visits for all caregivers in accordance with Minnesota Department of Health guidelines
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Maintain a current, non-restricted Registered Nursing License in the state of Minnesota
- Minimum of 1 year of Home Care experience required
- Must have the availability to work evenings or weekends as needed, this is very rare but is possible.
- Rotating on call schedule which would be every 4/5 weeks
- Be available for calls requiring an RN response after-hours
- Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
- Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
- Must have the ability to perform duties in a professional office setting and in the field
- Must be very detail oriented and efficient
- Must be have very good communication skills with other co-workers, clients, and their families
