City Honors Arbor Day

City Council Approves ''No Mow May''
At the April 15 City Council meeting, “No Mow May” was approved. This allows residents to refrain from mowing their lawns during the month of May. The purpose is to allow grass to grow freely, providing habitat for pollinators, insects and birds. As grass, dandelions and clover grow, they can offer an early food source for emerging insects.
