PAUL – At its Legislative Awards Dinner last night, the Coalition of Greater MN Cities (CGMC) presented Fergus Falls Mayor Ben Schierer with the Jack Murray Award for Distinguished Rural Leadership. The award is given to city officials who demonstrate knowledge, leadership and active participation in CGMC program areas over their public service career. Native Plantings - June Yard of the Month Selected
Now that June is passed, lawns and gardens are flourishing. The city’s Natural Resources Advisory Committee selected its Yard of the Month based on native landscaping. The June honoree is that of Constance Adams, 1307 Hillcrest Court. In her Native Planting Landscape Plan for 2024 Adams lists more than 20 plant species among her five native gardens.
