Attorney, Labor & Employment Team – Fergus Falls Office
Within the Labor and Employment team at Pemberton Law, this position can expect to provide human resources support and advise public entities (school, city, and county employers). This position will also support complex labor and employment matters including, but not limited to; employment litigation, collective bargaining agreements, defending public entities, workplace investigations, labor negotiations, workplace trainings, contract issues, medical leaves, wage and hour, workplace misconduct, and employee separations. Essential Responsibilities:
- Consult clients to ascertain the details and merits of each case.
- Conduct research using legislation, case law, and other legal texts as sources to decide on mode of operation.
- Draft legal texts, including reports, contracts, and appeals.
- Represent clients at meetings and hearings.
- Remain up to date on changes to legislation.
- Complete all other tasks assigned.
- Initiative-taker with ability to seek and complete tasks independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Perceptive and meticulous, with a thorough understanding of law.
- Prior law firm experience is preferred but not required.
- Pemberton Law will train suitable candidates with a law degree and a license to practice in Minnesota.
- Salary range: $82,000 - $100,000.
