Paralegal or Legal Assistant, Litigation Team – Fergus Falls Office
This position will assist an assigned attorney within the litigation law team and may receive assignments relating to commercial litigation, construction law, professional malpractice, product liability, utility and energy, personal injury, and wrongful death. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Calendar and monitor case deadlines.
  • Communicate with clients to gather information and relay periodic updates.
  • Assist attorney in preparing for court appearances, trials, meetings, and other matters.
  • Review, finalize, and prepare court filings.
  • Research and understand state and federal briefing and filing requirements.
  • Complete additional assignments as required/assigned.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Perceptive and meticulous.
  • Capacity to regulate and perform under stress.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft word, and working knowledge of Adobe PDF software.
Experience/Education:
  • Prior law firm or financial-sector experience is preferred but not required.
  • Pemberton Law will train suitable candidates.
Parameters:
  • Full-time, Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm, equaling 37.5 hours per week.
  • In-office (non-remote).
Additional Information:
  • Wage range: $22 - $25 per hour.
