Fergus Falls Chamber Leadership Pilot Program Starting Soon

The Fergus Falls Area Chamber is launching a brand-new Leadership Program: “Ignite Community Leadership.” Later this month, a pilot program will roll out with a limited number of participants. The program will feature half-day sessions providing technical skills in leadership combined with community connections to education, government, tourism, local history, health/wellness, and business. Participants will graduate in May. Feedback from the pilot program will be used to fine-tune a complete program which will start in Fall 2024.

“Our purpose for creating a community leadership program is to give people skills to lead their organizations as well as serve in volunteer leadership roles, such as for non-profits, municipal boards, and committees,” said Chamber President Lisa Workman. “This program will serve as a workforce retention tool for employers by skilling up their employees. Plus, participants will learn about our community, make connections, and build relationships – strengthening their attachment to Fergus Falls.”

“Ignite Community Leadership” is designed to bring together emerging and existing leaders to explore leadership within themselves and for their community. Participants will develop and enhance their leadership skills, grow professional relationships, explore new leadership responsibilities in the community, and foster an understanding of the forces affecting the Fergus Falls area. We are developing the best, brightest, and most energetic people who want to build the skills necessary to assume leadership roles within their organizations and throughout their communities.

Tuition for “Ignite Community Leadership” is included for Visionary, Stakeholder, and Leader level Chamber members.
