Fergus Falls WalMart Has Much to Celebrate
It was a wonderful day at the Walmart in Fergus Falls (store #1696) on Friday, October 18, celebrating the completion of their store remodel.
Store Manager John Wakeman expressed heartfelt thanks to several different people and store associates, including previous store managers Tim Bosworth and Gary Snyder. Tammy Olson cut the ribbon, who has 45 years of service with Walmart, the longest tenure of all their employees. Wakeman’s appreciation for everyone involved in this project was obvious. The celebration ended with the employees doing the Walmart cheer.
The Walmart remodel began on July 15, 2024, and was completed a couple of weeks early due to the hard work of everyone involved. Some of the biggest changes include:
-
The pharmacy was relocated to the general merchandise side of the store
-
New parking lot
-
Removal of the white tile flooring and polishing of the concrete floor
-
Complete remodeling of the deli with tile wall backing and new fixtures
-
Updating the apparel departments with a new layout
-
The entire interior has been repainted with new signs
-
The cosmetics department relocated
-
Many departments have been streamlined so they flow together better
-
Expanded food options in the grocery area
-
Fresh baby food and expanded baby department
If you have not been to Walmart lately, we encourage you to stop (at 3300 Hwy 210 W, Fergus Falls). The changes are remarkable. Congratulations on your beautifully updated store!
