Meet Chamber Board Member: Coreen Schoep

Coreen Schoep became a board member of the Fergus Falls Chamber in October 2023. She is a licensed mental health therapist who has worked for Solutions Behavioral Healthcare for over 15 years. She is currently the Alexandria site Clinic Manager and supervisor for Solution’s Autism Developmental Clinic. Coreen is also the Behavioral Health/Human Services Program Advisor and Intern Supervisor for Alexandria Technical College. Locally, she is involved in a regional and local suicide awareness and prevention coalition. She also serves as a board member for a mental health advocacy non-profit organization in Douglas County.

Coreen wanted to serve on the Chamber Board to further develop her leadership skills, create relationships within the community, and be able to serve and promote Fergus Falls. She has found the relationships the Chamber has with local businesses and the desire to promote services and grow community leaders, to be a couple of the most valuable aspects of the Chamber.

She enjoys the relationships she is developing with other Chamber members. Coreen also appreciates helping plan the activities/promotion for local business members and that a business of any size can be a Chamber member, whether they have 1 or 100 employees!

Coreen is married with three adult children and four grandchildren. They have a two-year-old 80-pound Goldendoodle that Coreen has been training to be a nationally certified therapy dog. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, summer and winter fishing, riding ATVs, playing cards/board games, spending summer weekends on the lake, sitting around campfires, and most importantly spending time with her family and close friends.

Thank you for serving on our Board, Coreen!
