Residential Water Service Line Inventory - City Sends Updates

In the next few days, some residents will receive a letter regarding their water service line and whether it may contain lead or galvanized material. For those who DO NOT receive a letter, our staff knows the service line is made of safe plumbing materials, as required by law. All construction after 1987 as well as records we have on file assisted in the inventory process.
 
For those who DO receive a letter (for older homes or those unknown), we conducted a physical inspection of the service line. The letter indicates our findings, health risks and next steps for possible line replacement. Some homeowners were unable to be reached, and we will still gladly schedule an inspection.
